I’m in agreement. I have bipolar disorder. Yet, I’m a published poet, a father of a young woman nearing the end of her PhD. Mom and I both have graduate degrees. I was a full-time college teacher. Yet, I also have an anxiety disorder. Often we attempt to change what isn’t broken. Relax, follow societal norms. Ask yourself what’s right or wrong, the labels or your behavior. Early in therapy I was told two things, First, don’t worry about what is in your head as long as you know right and wrong. Second, these are only labels and have nothing to do with who you are. Take care of yourself.
