Road-Rage: can it be avoided?

If your in a state of alarm/stress that's not dissipated before you encounter another 'trigger',
your alarm can only increase because of the 'residue' stress still active.
If the same driver had been calm, the 'trigger' would not have evoked the over-reaction.
Because our alarms are automatic, it behooves us to check our stress/anger level the way we check the fuel gauge on our cars.
On a scale of 1 to 10; one being calm and ten being rage/panic/PTSD. If your driving at level 6 or 7, your 'primed' to go 'ballistic', than if your calm, by the same 'trigger'.
Before you drive, check your 'stress level' as you check your fuel level.
